You will receive a certificate once the money has been transferred.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6fdb6ca elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"6fdb6ca\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2nd pillar in the event of divorce<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6b00493 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6b00493\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the event of divorce or dissolution of a registered partnership, each spouse is entitled to half of the 2nd pillar assets and vested benefits accumulated by the other during the marriage or partnership.<\/p><p>Here's how the 2nd pillar is divided between the spouses in the event of divorce:<\/p><p><strong>Spouse n\u00b01:<\/strong> He or she must transfer half the benefits acquired during the marriage to his or her former spouse. After the divorce, this share will be transferred by his pension fund to the fund chosen by the former spouse.<\/p><p><strong>Spouse n\u00b02:<\/strong> He or she will receive half of his or her former spouse's vested termination benefit accumulated during the marriage. This half will be transferred to the pension fund of his or her choice.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-de8f522 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"de8f522\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">2nd pillar in the event of death<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5cbb614 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5cbb614\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In the event of death, the law determines the beneficiaries of your vested benefit credit, mainly the surviving spouse or heirs, who generally receive the amount in a single payment.<\/p><p>If you leave no spouse or minor children, we recommend that you check with your pension fund whether and how you can designate other beneficiaries. Gaps may exist for a variety of reasons, such as leaving Switzerland for a period of time.<\/p><p>Just like payments into your <strong>3rd pillar<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fidulex.ch\/en\/2nd-pillar-buyback-advantages-and-disadvantages-2\/\">2nd pillar purchases<\/a><\/strong> are<strong> deductible<\/strong> of your taxable income.
