CTTs, for their part, also protect workers and regulate, among other things, their working conditions and remuneration.<\/p><p>Together, these laws define the rules surrounding the following points:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-74dce976 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"74dce976\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Employment Contract<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-316fb117 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"316fb117\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In Switzerland, an <strong>employment contract<\/strong> can only be concluded orally if the work period it is for is less than a month. If your contract does not specify a trial period, it should be a month long. You have one week from the start of your trial period to break the contract.<\/p><p>The contract can be terminated at any time, subject to certain conditions. Indeed, your employer cannot terminate the <strong>contract<\/strong> if you are off work due to an illness or an accident.<\/p><p>You also cannot be dismissed if you are <a href=\"https:\/\/fidulex.ch\/en\/maternity-leave-2\/\">pregnant<\/a>, you have recently given birth (up to 14 weeks after the birth) or you are performing military or civilian service.<\/p><p>As with any contract, remember to take your time and read it carefully before signing.<\/p><p>It's harder to negotiate the formalities of a contract after it's been signed, so keep that in mind before you agree to anything. A contract can also be modified at a later date, but not without your agreement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1fbf71d3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"1fbf71d3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Salary<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-781aa708 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"781aa708\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As we saw earlier, under Swiss labor law, your contract informs you of the amount you will receive each month. If you have any doubts about the fairness of your remuneration, you will soon be able to consult the salaries applied in your sector using the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfs.admin.ch\/bfs\/fr\/home\/statistiques\/travail-remuneration\/salaires-revenus-cout-travail\/structure-salaires\/salarium.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official government tools<\/a>.<\/p><p>Your employer must guarantee fair and equal <strong>wages<\/strong> and can't pay you less than someone else with the same role because of factors beyond your control (sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, religion, etc.).<\/p><p>Although some CTTs have for a fixed salary for certain <strong>sectors<\/strong> (state jobs, for example), Switzerland has no nationwide minimum wage. Some cantons, however, have established <a href=\"https:\/\/fidulex.ch\/en\/minimum-wage-in-geneva\/\">minimum wage<\/a>which sometimes depends on the business sector:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e6d30c3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-progress\" data-id=\"e6d30c3\" Vacation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c2c0032 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c2c0032\" worker is entitled to varies according to your <strong>personal situation<\/strong> (your age, seniority, etc.) and the CTT, but is generally between 4 and 5 weeks' leave, <strong>4 weeks<\/strong> being the mandatory minimum.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4e274935 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\"
